Get The Spicy Stuff in Spain

I hear it every day - immigrants who love spicy foods, complaining about the lack of hot pepper dishes served in Spain. I get it, I am also a big fan of sauces and peppers that make my nose run. And if you look, you will likely find a solid Indian or Mexican cuisine in your city that will satisfy the urge. I live in a quite small and NOT very International area of the country, and we still have some fabulous restaurants in both categories.

But I wanted to toot the horn of a guy I've become friendly with over the last year, who I met totally by accident after seeing him discuss bringing Carolina Reaper peppers to Spain (they are in fact from the United States). One question led to another, and I found his website. Carlos, the owner, is a super modest guy - way too humble, in my opinion - and did not broadcast right away that he had a GIGANTIC pepper farm and a well-established hot sauce/condiment/spicy snack company! But in my household, it only took one order of assorted sauces, peppers, and snacks for us to be hooked. We place a monthly order now - my husband even has a "Doctor Salsas" T-shirt!

Carlos is from the US - his mom is from Granada, and his dad from the States - and you can read about him HERE… You can find their full website at DOCTORSALSAS.COM. You can order literally anything your heart desires that involves peppers. You can order actual peppers… hot sauces in every type of flavor, ranging from super mild up to "don't touch this with your skin or it will welt". Spicy potato chips. Spicy nuts! All kinds of snacks and meat rubs and sauces to complete your at-home preparation of the spicy foods you've been craving lately.

On their social media (FB and IG), you'll see Carlos live and up close, talking about the peppers, the processes, and his absolute love for what he does. He's a super nice guy - and combined with how amazing his sauces are, I thought he deserved a little love on the Blog. Enjoy!
